Went to Hell (Jiguko)
>> Sunday, September 27, 2009
Assalammualikum~ ^^
Today, Ms.Nakamura (hontou ne arigatou Nakamura san!) from the Admission Office took me, Fion and Naif to what Beppu is very well known for, the onsen (hot-spring). Beppu has a lot of hot springs and by that I mean, A LOT. Steams of hot water can be mainly found around the city.
She took us to hell!! *nods seriously* This particular onsen is called hell a.k.a Jiguko. The place itself looks like a little piece of heaven. Allah hu akhbar! Allah has created one beautiful world for sure :D There are many types of Jiguko. So far I only know the Umi Jiguko (Sea Hell) and the Chinoike Jiguko (Blood Pool Hell). However we only went to see Umi Jiguko. Jigukos are not for bathing because the temperature can reach up to 100 degree Celsius! ..And what fascinated me the most is that this Umi Jiguko, pool of sea-blue hot water, is used to boil eggs and people can consume these eggs at the gift shops. I was told that these eggs taste different from our typical eggs. I will try one someday! ^^
Here are the pictures from today :D

(eggs are being boiled in that hard basket ^^)

Well here, you can see that coins were thrown inside the lilies. haisssh, membazir! hahah nada wa~ :p)

Okay, will write here again soon. Jaa~

Update from Beppu - Went to Beppu City
Assalammualikum earthlings~
How's your raya? Don't ask mine. ^^ Been doing almost nothing yesterday. Thanks to oovoo, Skype, Messenger & Facebook for keeping me preoccupied. Happyku dapat liat my family beraya! hehehe Webcam'd with Zai and Yuz too~ I had fun.
Thanks to Fion & Iris as well for keeping me company ^^
Went to Beppu City on Sunday (20/9) . It was SO hectic! The shopping part I mean hahaha Everyone was spending like crazy and each and everyone of us had to carry more than 10 plastic bags I supposed. No more shopping for me this month :S
So, there were 5 of us (me, Fion, Iris, Tracy and Nancy) and the journey from APU to Beppu City took us around 40 minutes. But it was worth it.
We arrived at JR Beppu Station and from there we were guided by Tracy's friend (sorry, I don't remember her name but they call her 'sister' ^^) We were so lucky to have her joining us. It's good to have someone who can speak Japanese. My Japanese is still in the retard level!! hahaha InsyaAllah, I will learn more as time passes.
So, here we go!
(Sidenote: I'm going to post as many pictures as I can. Sorry if you find this quite annoying hahaha)
Lunch!! ^^
Omg, this sushi place in YouMe Town (shopping mall) is SO amazing! Hontou~
The sushi is very fresh and cheap!! Banar, nda ku tipu ne hahaha For any dish, it costs you 105 yen (around $1.60 per plate) I ate takoyaki! hahaha ...and and, I tried ungai for the first time. Oishii~~
(side note: Time makan sushi, terkanangku si Zai and Ep huhuhu)
We'll be having more guidance sessions and orientations starting tomorrow. kyaaaaa~~
Once again, Selamat Hari Raya. If you have invitations to open houses today or tomorrow, just go. Go! go! go! hahaha
More updates soon, insyaAllah.
Salam.
